NEWS REPORTS

The GWF wrestlers have increased their intensity as 2113: Sudden Death is underway. Just prior to the Sudden Death announcements, four titles changed hands.

The Ravagers & Tocsin gained the Six-Man tag-team titles from Desolation Factor & Maelstrom in a rematch of the tournament final. Dark Justice then took the TV title away from Pegasus.

The next night, Transformer shocked the galaxy by winning the tag belts from Twin Blood. Manslaughter then upset Genocide to win the Galaxian title.

Dark Justice had little time to celebrate as Cordanus' new man Euritar got the first title shot and after a solid match, became the new TV champion. Transformer also had a short run with the gold as Twin Blood took the tag titles back, and afterwards Nth Degree split with Monad.

On card #960, Sudden Death began. Stars & Stripes wrestled the best match of their career in beating Titan Honor. Ursa Major never made a tag to Blade.

The next four matches all ended in some form of DQ. Varsity won by DQ over the Mad Jester. Deadly Sins and Colonizer Empire were both DQed. Paragon won by DQ over Avalanche after constant interfering from Johnny Rocket. The Swat Team got the better of Alter Ego by DQ.

Desolation Factor laid waste to Turge of the Creatures of Lamia. He never made a tag as the match ended in seconds. He was then injured afterwards.

Enigma got a much tougher test then he bargained for in his I-P title defense against Aegis. The high-flyer came away with his belt intact, but these two turned in a great match.

The main event was one of the best in recent memory, as Vengeance and Disaster tore into one another. Both were bloody messes at the end, which saw Disaster overcome constant interference by Brute to pin Vengeance in the first meeting of many to come.

The GWF Board of Directors also annouced the pairings for an Interplanetary Tag-Team Title Tournament.

(1) Swat Team v. (8) Creatures of Lamia
(4) Stars & Stripes v. (5) Titan Honor
(2) Deadly Sins v. (7) Alter Ego
(3) Off the Wall v. (6) Superiority Complex

There is also talk of a GWF Woman's title tournament being organized at the moment as well.

Feuds have already reached a fever pitch in just the first meetings between combatants.

Desolation Factor put out Turge in their first contest against the Creatures of Lamia with Cyclopes never getting in the ring. Ruin then went 1-on-1 against Cyclopes. This new giant of the ring is extremely tough to beat. Finally Rack and Maelstrom hit the ring and Ruin was able to get the pin, and the trio worked the new man over. Cyclopes now joins his partner on the DL.

Blazing Skull and Maelstrom continued this group feud by battling to a double DQ. Anarchy beat Terminus in their first meeting.

Superiority Complex didn't look too bad in their first match back together against the Ravagers, but the newer combination won this event.

The Out-Group continues to send its members after Takeover. Pegasus fought a strong match against the former GWF champion Encubus, but couldn't come away with a win. Monad went up against Bloodline and again came close to winning, but not close enough.

Wolf polished off Mike Fortune, but Max Shield downed the hardcore legend the next night.

Deadly Sins opened the I-P Tag-Team Title Tournament with a win over Alter Ego. Off the Wall will be their semifinal opponents after they defeated Superiority Complex.

Archon defeated Mensar in a Table Match.

The Gladiators/Colonizers war is off to an incredible start. Thunder scored the pin on Mandrill in a Total Anarchy Match to even the score after Disaster beat Vengeance the week before.

Malice & Overkill took on the Colonizer Empire and turned in one of the GWF's all-time best tag-team matches. The match lasted over 30 minutes before the Gladiators were finally able to get a pinfall. (7 total coins for the Gladiators, 13 coins for the Colonizer Empire)

The Paragon/Avalanche confrontation has proven to be a very big one. Paragon has won two straight matches by DQ and has shown he is very capable of tossing this big man around.

Galaxian champ Manslaughter met Rising Sun in a non-title match and got the win by C.O.

The GWF Interplanetary tag-team title tournament has reached the semifinals. The Swat Team will face Stars & Stripes in one match, while Deadly Sins go up against Off the Wall.

Euritar has staked his claim to the GWF TV title with a successful title defense against Scion Nexus.

Mensar, Bloodline and Encubus captured the GWF Six-Man tag-team title from the Ravagers & Tocsin. On the same night, Malice & Overkill regained the GWF tag-team championship by beating Twin Blood.

Enigma is proving himself as a heavyweight wrestler with another I-P title defense, this time against Paragon.

Varsity won the GWF Cruiserweight title in a solid match against the Black Ninja from All-Andromeda Pro-Wrestling.

Manslaughter's first title defense of the Galaxian title came against Mensar.

Paragon and Avalanche have fought two matches that ended with Paragon winning by DQ. They will face off next in a Titan Death Match.

The Gladiator/Colonizer war continues to heat up. Mandrill & Disaster defeated Vengeance & Thunder. Thunder was injured after the match before Malice & Overkill could get there. Mandrill then beat Vengeance in a Mensa Table Match.

The Colonizer Empire positioned themself as the No. 1 contenders with a big win over Desolation Factor.

Card #965

Superiority Complex v. Creatures of Lamia
Genocide v. Murdok
Archon v. Scion Nexus
Manslaughter v. Mike Fortune (Nightmare Matrix)
Swat Team v. Stars & Stripes (I-P tag tourney semis)
Euritar (TV champ) v. Rising Sun
Avalanche v. Paragon (Titan Death Match)
Takeover (Six-Man champs) v. Out-Group (Elimination)

Sudden Death continues to be the main focal point of everybody in the GWF.

Superiority Complex met up with the Ravagers for the second time, looking to even the series between them. Neither squad was able to score points as the match ended in a double DQ.

Murdok took on Hyper one-on-one. It was a pretty lopsided encounter with Murdok dishing out the punishment, but the mad-man wouldn't stop fighting back. After scoring the pinfall, Murdok and the Ravagers laid Hyper out before anyone could make the save.

Varsity defended his newly-won Cruiserweight title against Scion Nexus. The Titan has fallen on bad luck as of late, and Varsity retained the title in a match that was easier than it should have been.

Next up was a semifinal match in the I-P Tag-Team Title Tournament. Action was controlled by Deadly Sins and they advanced to the final by beating Off the Wall by a countout.

After Mike Fortune defeated GWF champion Manslaughter in a non-title Nightmare Matrix Match, Cordanus rewarded the Hitman with a title shot against I-P champion Enigma. Enigma has proven to be a tremendous champion and shows no signs of losing the belt anytime soon. Fortune was reeling from the high-flier's offense, but a spell by Mesmer refreshed him briefly. Despite this and distraction from Krakan, Enigma once again retained the title.

After both Turge and Cyclopes were injured by Desolation Factor, upon healing they looked for revenge in a Lepus Stun Rod Match. The Creatures of Lamia did just that by scoring a big victory.

Wolf completely destroyed Max Shield in a Cygnus Adamantium Fists Match. Shield fought for a long time but never sustained any offense of posed any threat to beating Wolf in this type of environment.

The main event once again featured the Gladiators against the Colonizers, as the new GWF tag-team champions Malice & Overkill took on Mandrill and Disaster in a non-title match. Mandrill and Disaster were awesome and defeated the more experienced team after a hard-hitting match.

We are just a couple weeks away from the GWF's next ppv offering, but Cordanus still has not released the name of the event. Some feel it is the perfect time for either Survivor Series or the War Games. Another classic event that would work well is Pain & Punishment, where every match contains special stipulations.

In the meantime, a major card has been scheduled next.

Card #967

Unspeakable Horror v. Terminus & Maelstrom
Twin Blood v. Deadly Sins (2/3 Falls)
Superiority Complex v. Next Generation
Genocide v. Murdok (Turnbuckle Shock Match)

Manslaughter (GWF champ) v. Paragon
AETHRAN ULTIMATE ESCAPE MATCH
Gladiators v. Colonizers

The Sudden Death feuds have given GWF fans some great action of late, as evidenced by the matches from card #967.

Terminus & Maelstrom faced Blazing Skull & Anarchy. After a solid tag-team contest, Maelstrom planted Skull with his finisher. After the match, Mangus was able to come in the ring and brand Skull, intensifying this deadly war.

Deadly Sins went up against Twin Blood in a 2/3 Falls encounter. Dreggs & Sleeze went up 1-0 after isolating Vyper from the Sheik. D. Sins was able to even the match by pinning Dreggs. Lorelei's troops scored the win in this one, making them 2-0 against Twin Blood.

Superiority Complex took on the Next Generation. Bloodline & Encubus took their time and then put away Prodigy & Skinhead.

Genocide and Murdok tried to settle things in a Turnbuckle Shock Match. Murdok was able to get the win, but Wraith ran in and a double team injured Murdok.

In a major upset, Aegis took the fight right at Wolf and won a Mensa Table Match. Wolf has been up and down in recent weeks, having also lost to Max Shield.

In six-man tag-team actin, the Fighting Titans won by DQ over the FDF.

Manslaughter defended the GWF title against Paragon.

The main event was the Aethran Ultimate Escape Match. The Gladiators against the Colonizers tore the house down. The Colonizer team seemed on their way to an upset win when Disaster crushed Vengeance with the Rampage and exited the cage. Mandrill was the next to leave the ring, putting them half way to victory.

The Gladiators got it together and Thunder was the next to leave after a choke slam on Nefarus. Malice & Overkill, GWF tag champs, turned it up a notch and OK left to even the match.

Vengeance then made it out, leaving Malice the last man. Despite being outnumbered 2-to-1, Malice hit his finisher on Nefarus and made it out to win the match for the Gladiators.

In the midst of Sudden Death, commissioner Cordanus has decided to hold the GWF's annual set of tournaments to see who is the best of the best in all the divisions. While not directly involved in Sudden Death as of yet, these tournaments could be seen as a way to divert attention from the Takeover team and Mensar's recently won heavyweight title.

Six-Man tag-team action will kick off the run of five monstrous-size tournaments. The Six-Man Seizure will be for the first time a 64-team double elimination event. An added stipulation from past tournaments is that the Six-Man tag-team titles will be on the line every match the champions have. That means Takeover must defend the titles every match they have. Also, each round of the tournament the matches will be randomly determined. The matches will scheduled for one fall, with the ultimate tournament final being a Titan Death Elimination Match.

The rest of the schedule will see the Queen of the Ring, Cruiser Combat, Tag-Team Terror and the King of the Ring tournament.

These tournaments have been opened up to all six of the GWF's regional promotions, as well as many other independent wrestling groups across the galaxy. This gives a lot of unknown wrestlers a shot at the spotlight to see what they can do against the the best wrestlers in the galaxy.

Some of the intersting first round matches. Max Shield, Corp. Aegis, along with Varsity, must face their Rampart teammates the Ravagers & Tocsin. Another eye-opening match has the Gladiators facing one another with Thunder, Malice & Overkill against Vengeance, Wraith & Cyclopes. Takeover will defend their six-man titles against former champions Desolation Factor & Maelstrom.

The Colonizer Empire and Disaster face the Animen team of Wolfen, Lion Heart & Chimera. Wolf and the Superiority Complex get to face Colossus and the Penthouse Punks. A team made up of start that will remind you of the past, the King, Scorpion and Jack Brody meet Unspeakable Horror & Tortured Soul.

There are some intriguing wild card teams as well. Old GWF legends Dynamo, Bishop Hell & Splatter will come together for one last run at greatness. Necros returns with his partners the Ninja Assassins. Another group of indy stars, formerly in the GWF, sees Raven, Jack of Diamonds and Grunge joining forces. Janus has picked Vector One and the Son of Sam to help him return to glory in a GWF ring.

The GWF Six-Man Seizure Tournament has ended. 64 teams from the GWF, CPC, AWA, AAPW, CWF, CIWA, TWA, and TASW fought until one team was left. A special stipulation was that the Six-Man tag-team champions - Mensar, Bloodline & Encubus, defended the belts in every match they had in the tournament. Then in the semifinals it was Deadly Sins & Paragon that captured the belts. In the tournament finals, the independent team of Janus, Vector One & the Son of Sam won the Six-Man Seizure Tournament and the gold. GWF Cruiserweight champion Ursa Major had to defend the title in every match, and the belt changed hands four times.

The opening round went through with very few surprises. An unknown entrant, Scarecrow, had the first of many upsets when he eliminated Skinhead in the first round. Ursa Major retained the title against Halcon Oro in his first match.

The second round started with three consecutive upsets. First Sabernotch ousted former Cruiserweight champion Black Ninja. then the Soulwatcher downed the Mad Jester. In a match up of tag-team wrestlers, Andrew Allen knocked off Dreggs. A key second round contest saw Varsity defeat Scion Nexus. Scarecrow turned heads again when he moved past Blade. Ursa Major faced his partner Rising Sun, and it was Rising Sun winning the Cruiserweight title and reaching the quarterfinals.

In the third round Varsity beat Molotok. Scarecrow shocked the galaxy by wining the Cruiserweight title against Rising Sun.

Semifinal action had Sabernotch winning over Falcon. Varsity became a two-time Cruiserweight champion with a win against Scarecrow.

The final match was spectacular, with Sabernotch and Varsity never giving an inch. Varsity came back time and time again, but Sabernotch proved to be the better man on this occasion and won the Cruiser Combat Tournament and the GWF Cruiserweight title.

Corporate Takeover benefitted from a Bye in the second round and faced the Ravagers, who had two tough matches to get this far. U.S. Mint & Chandler controlled the vast majority of the match, and scored the pinfall over the GWF contingent. Once again the Ravagers fail to live up to their potential.

Power Surge did not have to put their CIWA tag titles on the line against Thunder & Vengeance. It's a good thing as the Gladiators didn't take much time in advancing to the quarterfinals.

Energy Express and Off the Wall put on high-flying show for the fans. Both had chances to win, but Orion & Comet Kid picked up the victory.

The next match didn't live up to the possibilities between Rising Sun & Scion Nexus and Mandrill and Disaster. The Titans were all over Disaster early, but Mandrill stopped their offense and put down R. Sun with the Voltaic Stunner.

Two hot teams faced off next, as Blood & Guts got a shot at Raven & Wildcat for the TWA tag-team titles. Maxx Juice and Incubus couldn't follow up on their last two good matches, as Raven & Wildcat kept their belts and moved on.

Another nGo team, Apocalypse and Apostle, did continue on by defeating the CWF tag champs Armageddon. Carnage & Slaughterhouse had the belts since the inception of the Cetus Wrestling Federation.

Another GWF match for the archives took place between Next Generation and Deadly Sins. Vyper & the Sheik, I-P tag title holders, withstood everything Bloodline and Encubus gave them, and dished it out as well. It was Thantos' team that won the titles and advanced.

The Colonizer Empire turned in three outstanding matches in the tournament, but lost the GWF gold to Terminus & Maelstrom. Vendetta & Nefarus may have pulled out their two earlier wins, but luck wasn't with them this time and we have new tag-team champions.

There are eight teams left in the Tag-Team Turmoil Tournament.

The Gladiator team of Thunder & Vengeance are still alive, while Malice & Overkill are gone. The Glads really want this next match as it could set up them against Mandrill & Disaster in the semifinals. They will need to beat the unknown team of Corporate Takeover for that to happen.

The Colonizers face Energy Express in the quarters, hoping for another showdown with the Gladiators.

The TWA and CWF tag team titles will both be up for grabs when Raven & Wildcat face Apocalypse & Apostle. The stakes continue to get higher and higher with every round.

The last quarterfinal match is also title for title. The I-P tag champs Bloodline & Encubus versus Galaxian tag champs Terminus & Maelstrom. There is a very good possibility of the titles being unified here with the winner eventually going on to the finals.

The GWF Tag-Team Turmoil Tournament is perhaps the most aptly named event, as titles changed hands 12 times during the tourney.

QUARTERFINALS

Corporate Takeover took down the Ravagers to reach the Elite Eight, after receiving a second round bye. In their path stood Thunder & Vengeance, two former GWF champions.

The early going belonged to the indy wrestlers, and several times the Gladiators were almost humiliated by defeat. Each team kept fighting until the Gladiators were able put an end to Corporate Takeover.

Mandrill & Disaster got more than they expected from Energy Express. Both Colonizers almost suffered defeat, but as with the Gladiators the Colonizers avoided the major upset and embarrassment.

It was title for title between TWA champs Raven & Wildcat and CWF champions Diabolic Prophecy. In stunning fashion, Raven made one tag to Wildcat who landed his finisher to beat Apocaplypse and Apostle for a 2nd championship.

The Interplanetary tag champs Next Generation faced GWF title holders Terminus & Maelstrom. Title for title. Thantos team dropped the ball again as this one went back-and-forth, but Maelstrom scored the win to take both titles.

SEMIFINALS

The match everyone wanted to see came true. Gladiators vs. Colonizers. Thunder & Vengeance vs. Mandrill & Disaster. A number of times this one was almost thrown out for excessive brawling and double teaming. But a DQ was not what anyone wanted so the match continued. Once again the Colonizers got the better of the Gladiators.

Terminus & Maelstrom's GWF and I-P tag titles were on the line, but Raven & Wildcat's TWA and CWF belts were not. Again Wildcat almost came in with one move to win it. Making the most of opportunity, former GWF competitors Raven & Wildcat upset the champs to take both Galaxian tag titles into the finals.

FINALS

Another super match in the final as Mandrill and Disaster avoided the upset once again. Every man gave all they had with numerous near falls on both sides. Mandrill & Disaster reclaimed the GWF tag titles that Vendetta and Nefarus had lost, and also added the I-P gold to their stable as well.

In the past, the GWF executive committee has awarded the secondary title to the final round losers, as the GWF and I-P tag belts can not be held at the same time. A decision will be forthcoming, with Raven & Wildcat likely to given the I-P belts back.

They also hold two independent tag-team titles. What will be done with that situation is unknown at this time.

From the Deneb Sports Arena, Cygnus, Clash of the Champions XVIII.

Cruiserweight champion Sabernotch kicked things off with a 2/3 Falls title defense against Varsity. After a quick start by Varsity, Sabernotch came back and took the first fall with the Andromeda Drop. He then nailed Varsity with a missile dropkick for the second fall to retain the title.

Janus, Vector One and Son of Sam defended the Six-Man titles against Mace, Molotok and Kulak. The match went back-and-forth with both sides scoring near falls. Kulak was eliminated by Son of Sam, then Mace was DQed for interference after making a save. Molotok hung on for a short while but was put away giving the champions a sweep for the victory.

The surprising Tortured Soul went after Euritar and the TV title. After a short burst of offense from the champion, Tortured Soul took over and recorded several two-counts. The dead man had the match in hand and smashed Euritar over the head with the flat side of the sword he carries to the ring. Tortured Soul won via a count out, but did not secure the title.

Raven & Wildcat defended the I-P tag titles against Deadly Sins. Raven and Vyper fought for awhile, then the Sheik had Raven in serious trouble. Wildcat entered and almost won the match. Vyper came back in and downed Wildcat a pair of finishers to regain the belts.

Max Shield had most of the offense, but Enigma ended up with the win.

The grudge match between Maelstrom & Sekada and TC Watson & Manta didn't last too long. Watson crushed Maelstrom and Manta maintained the attack. Sekada got the tag and carried the offense for the team, hitting several of Dreadnaught's old moves. Watson's interference resulted in a DQ, giving the win to Maelstrom & Sekada.

Bloodline started strong against I-P champion Manslaughter. He applied the Masterlock, but missed the Big Bang. Manslaughter then landed Heads will Roll twice to retain the title.

Mandrill never made the tag to Disaster. Rising Sun & Scion Nexus crushed the Colonizer leader, and a moonsault brought the Titans the GWF tag-team titles.

Encubus put the GWF title on the line against Mensar. This one had several near falls on both sides. The fight went outside a lot, and Mensar picked up the pin. Cordanus pushed Encubus' leg off the ropes and the ref did not see it. Mensar regained the gold, and Cordanus said there will be no more matches between Takeover members.

Malice & Overkill destroyed the Colonizer Empire in a Steel Cage Match. Nefarus never got the tag as Malice downed Vendetta and then hit the Aethran Supremacy for the win.

First round matches from the King of the Ring Bracket #1 are in the books.

The opening contest pitted two former GWF champions against each other in the form of Vengeance and Pegasus. This was a great match, as each man had the other beat, yet the match continued. In what may be a minor upset, Pegasus knocked off the Gladiator to reach the second round.

On paper, Jack of Diamonds vs. Grovel is a bit of a mis-match. But results are determined in the ring, and Grovel gave Jack a heck of a match. In the end it was Jack who eventually wore down Grovel for the win.

Rising Sun had done well in Cruiser Combat and the Tag-Team Turmoil. He met up with a returning GWF veteran, Necros, in the opening round. Necros wasted no time in making a statement, "staking" Rising Sun in quick fashion and taking a big win.

Up next was Euritar defending the GWF TV title against Mourn. Mourn very nearly came away with the belt, but Euritar held his ground. Finally the match ended with Mourn being DQed.

A pair of GWF veterans in Terminus and Max Shield met up next. This one another back-and-forth affair, but Max Shield came out on top to advance.

Enigma drew Manslaughter in the first round in which to defend his I-P title against. The size advantage of the Code Enforcer proved to be the difference, but Enigma stayed in the fight to the end. Manslaughter walked out the new I-P champion, ending a 24-card reign for Enigma (5 title defenses).

Bloodline went up against the AAPW champion Dominator in the first round. The independent star on several occasions nearly won the match. Bloodline didn't have a whole lot of offense, but repeated use of the Masterlock got him a win.

Honest Abe out of the CWF and the White Tiger from TWA completed this bracket's first round matches. The White Tiger had little trouble in scoring a win with several illegal maneuvers.

Bracket #2's first round matches have been completed.

The CWF's Troyboy met Vector One from the AWA. V1 became 1/3 of the Six-Man tag-team champions with Son of Sam and Janus at the Six-Man Seizure Tournament. He took over from the outset, but one opportunity was all Troyboy needed. After Vector One missed a move in the corner, Troyboy hit the Rump Thumper twice to score the pin.

Two-time Cruiserweight champion Varsity faced former TV champion Tortured Soul. The zombie seemed intent on proving he belonged, and he did. Tortured Soul took control and didn't let up until he secured the victory.

A pair of big men were up next in Avalanche and Holocaust. Holocaust began things right, but Avalanche came back hit the splash. He called for the 5-count and that allowed Holocaust to kick out. He smartly landed the move again, and this time Holocaust stayed down for five.

Two of the oldest GWF wrestlers in Wolf and the Mutant were next in the ring. The Mutant also showed not to take him lightly, by actually sustaining the offense against Wolf. He applied the Temple Grinder twice and this one ended up in a double DQ, knocking them both from the tournament.

Encubus had no trouble in putting away Beowulf.
Ursa Major quickly disposed of Angst, though the newcomer made it through the match without panicing.
Wolfen came up with a nice victory over Tocsin.

Rounding out this bracket's first round was Scion Nexus against Paragon. The powerhouse absolutely crushed the Titan, but he stayed in the fight. Finally Paragon picked up the three-count.

First round matches in the third King of the Ring bracket are over. This is over shadowed by something else that happened on this night.

TASW champion Death Knight II, and former GWF competitor, faced Nth Degree. Nth Degree rolled in this one and showed that Two Heads are better Than One and got the win.

One-half of the GWF tag champs Disaster met Dark Justice. Disaster started off well, but DJ kept fighting and repeated use of the Rod of Justice and Shock Probation brought him a shocking win.

Mandrill, the other tag-champ, made up for it with a dominating victory over Wraith.

Thunder needed to win, and he did just that with the Tempest over Janus. Thunder gets Mandrill in the second round.

Pullos was given no resistance at all by Monad.
Raven took out Archon.
Mace moved past Maelstrom.

The final match of the card was TC Watson versus Dreadnaught. The match was all Watson as Dreadnaught was even more off his game that is usual, never once getting in an offensive move. Watson had applied the sleeper a number of times, as well as dropping the ring veteran over the ropes and slamming him hard to the mat. It was a spine buster that gave Watson the win.

His celebration was short-lived though, when he and everyone else realized that Dreadnaught was not getting up. The arena sat still and held its collective breath as medical attention was given to Dreadnaught. Nothing could help him, and the GWF lost one of its all-time greats on this night.

The last first round bracket of the King of the Ring has been completed, as fans and wrestlers alike react to the death of Dreadnaught.

Canyon Creek took a little time but easily defeated Indigo.

The British Bomber weathered the early attack by Blazing Skull to come back with repeated use of his submission finisher to reach the second round.

The Son of Sam took the fight right to Mike Fortune and got the victory.

GWF champion Mensar faced Corp. Aegis in a title match. Aegis took a tremendous beating, but managed to have a couple chances at an upset. Mensar's power was way too much though and got the win.

CWF champion Solar Hawk leveled Kati as the match started and scored the win.

Anarchy and Grunge went at it next and took the fight to the floor. Anarchy though got the win with his finisher.

CIWA champion Apostle had to take on Colossus. It was clear Apostle wasn't going to come away with a win, so he ended up getting DQed.

Sid Williams dusted off Murdok to complete the first round.
A lot of good action in the second round of the King of the Ring.
Jack of Diamonds moved past Pegasus.
Euritar easily defended the TV title against Necros.
Max Shield gave I-P champ Manslaughter a great match, but it wasn't enough.
Bloodline defeated White Tiger.
Tortured Soul came up with another surprising victory, downing Troyboy.
Avalanche received a Bye.
Encubus overcame Ursa Major.
Wolfen upset Paragon.
Dark Justice downed Nth Degree.
After a real slow start to the match, Thunder hit the Tempest for the pin on Mandrill. All the Colonizers stormed the ring and wiped out the Gladiator, leaving his participation in the third round in doubt.

Pullos scored a big win over Raven.
Mace got rid of TC Watson.
British Bomber flew to a TWA title defense against Canyon Creek.
The Son of Sam gave a serious scare to the GWF champion Mensar, but Cordanus' man held on for the win.
Solar Hawk kept the CWF title against Anarchy.
Colossus withstood a tough match from Sid Williams to advance.
The Sweet 16 round of the King of the Ring is over.
TV champion Euritar didn't have too much trouble with the Jack of Diamonds.
I-P title holder Manslaughter fended off the challenge of Bloodline.
The Cinderella of the KOTR, Tortured Soul, went toe to toe with Avalanche and got a win by DQ.
Encubus breezed past Wolfen.
Thunder won over Dark Justice.
Mace pounded Pullos.

Mensar retained the GWF title against TWA champion British Bomber.

Colossus won the CWF title from Solar Hawk.
The King of the Ring continues to get wilder and wilder as the rounds go by.

A title v. title match between TV champion Euritar and I-P champ Manslaughter. Former tag-team partners renewed their rivalry in this one. Manslaughter began to get the upper hand when the fight spilled to the floor. The match was ruled a double DQ, eliminating both men from the tournament. They each retained their respective belts.

That meant the winner of the next match would get a bye into the Finals. Tortured Soul needed one more win against Encubus. The dead man had a couple good moves and Encubus was down briefly, but Cordanus' man took the win and a ticket to the final.

Thunder faced an old foe in Mace. Thunder dominated because a potential GWF title match would be next for him.

Mensar defended the GWF title against CWF champion Colossus. Colossus is a former two-time GWF champion. Colossus had Mensar in trouble several times, but Mensar's power was the difference he entered the semifinals.

The semis have just one match as Encubus awaits the winner of Thunder vs. GWF champion Mensar.

Promoter's Note: it seems I forgot about Thunder's injury against Mandrill earlier in the tournament. I don't think it would have mattered in his wins against Dark Justice and Mace, so we'll just have to say he toughed it out and continued despite being hurt.

The semifinal match between Thunder and GWF champion Mensar went back-and-forth. The Gladiator nearly had it won despite being injured by Mandrill earlier. It was Mensar's power though that once again took him to victory.

Takeover team members Encubus and Mensar met in the King of the Ring Final. Before the match, Cordanus came out and started to congratulate the GWF champion on his victory. Thantos appeared asking what was going on.

The two argued that Encubus should step aside and let the champ win. That wasn't going to happen and the two wrestlers had to separate Cordanus and Thantos.

They said they would fight the match and see what happens. Somehow the two managers stayed out of the way.

The bell rang and the rested Encubus went straight at Mensar. Encubus took the match by storm and after a few finishers it was over and Encubus won the King of the Ring and his second GWF heavyweight title.

The Gladiator Thunder defeated Rising Sun in a Torture Chamber Match to win the first annual Dreadnaught Memorial Hardcore Tournament. Thunder will face Mensar for the GWF title at Wrestle War.

The semifinals were Cygnus Adamantium Fists Matches. Rising Sun and Mike Fortune met in the first match. The Hitman didn't show up for this one as the Titan had no trouble at all in reaching the final.

This created an interesting possibility with R. Sun being one-half of the GWF tag-team champions. The winner of the tournament gets a shot at the Galaxian title.

The other semifinal had Manslaughter vs. Thunder. This was a longer match, but Thunder dominated almost as much as Rising Sun. The Gladiator would not be denied after going undefeated in pool play, including a win over GWF champion Mensar.

The Torture Chamber contained the final between Rising Sun and Thunder. Once again Thunder crushed his opponent, not letting R. Sun get his aerial attack going, and Thunder won the first annual Dreadnaught Memorial Hardcore Tournament.

Thunder's title match will come at Wrestle War. He returned with a bang after being out a short while with an injury he sustained at the King of the Ring.

Wrestle War is set up to be one of the most hard-hitting pay-per views in recent history. The GWF has seen an influx of independent wrestlers to the roster, with a high-profile feud over the death of Dreadnaught.

At Wrestle War that grudge will be settled in the War Games. The GWF signed the bottom five ranked tag-teams that were not already involved in other matches to take on the current tag-team champions from each of the independent promotions.

The executive committe then picked out five GWF singles wrestlers that are currently unranked in the top 30 to face the reigning singles champions in the regional promotions.

The GWF heads towards Wrestle War, but the superstars still have Sudden Death on their minds.

The Gladiators have brought in the AWA tag champs, Rage & Sledgehammer, from Aethra to throw something new at the Colonizers.

The conflict between the two Dreadnaught contingents has increased with the additions of Big Bubba Butcha and another wrestler from Cygnus and Dreadnaught's school, Belroc.

With Blazing Skull, Anarchy & Tortured Soul serving suspensions for the attack on Euritar, the Creatues of Lamia are all alone against Takeover.

Two title matches were added to the latest GWF card.

Cruiserweight champion Sabernotch defended against the enigmatic Soulwatcher. Soulwatcher came out of the gates fast and had the champion down in just a couple moves. He hit the Revelation and a new Cruiserweight champion was crowned.

Vengeance gave Rage & Sledgehammer one last chance by teaming with them in a six-man against Disaster & the Colonizer Empire. Vengeance started and stayed in the entire time. Disaster leveled him with the Rampage and the new Gladiators made the save and turned the tide of the match. Vengeance landed his finisher to win it.

Bloodline proved to be ineffective against Cyclopes, and the giant pinned the I-P champ in a non-title affair.

Rising Sun & Scion Nexus made their first GWF tag title defense with no trouble against Terminus & Maelstrom. The challengers have been granted a rematch due to some controversy over the pinfall.

The faces ruled most of this match with Rack and Ruin paying the price. Trench was in briefly then Warfare carried the match for the heels. It was Warfare fighting off all four opponents and getting the win for his team.

Falcon defended the Cruiserweight title against Andrew Allen. Both had their chances at winning, but it was Falcon retaining the gold in the end.

Janus, Vector One and Son of Sam defended the Six-Man titles against Mace, Molotok and Kulak in an Elimination Match. Mace pinned both Janus and Vector One to create a 3-on-1 situation. Son of Sam battled back to beat Molotok, then Mace was disqualified. Kulak and Sam went back-and-forth before Kulak got the win and regained the Six-Man tag-team titles.

Deadly Sins had an easy time of defending the I-P tag belts against Energy Express.

Colossus def. Jack of Diamonds in a Titan Death Match.

The GWF took the the rest of the galaxy in a challenge series. A 20-man, 2/3 Falls tag-team match, and a 10-man 2/3 Falls tag match. The singles and tag-team representatives for the Independent wrestlers were all the regional promotions champions.

Twin Blood, Creatures of Lamia, Titan Honor, Alter Ego and Superiority Complex took on Power Surge, Raven & Wildcat, Roman Emperors, Creatures of the Night and the Gladiators Rage & Sledgehammer.

The GWF took the first fall when Skinhead pinned Raven with the Perfect Piledriver. The Creatures of the Night double team finisher evened the match by pinning Prodigy. Genocide beat Sledgehammer with a power bomb to win the match.

Bloodline put the I-P strap on the line against Manslaughter in an I Quit Match. The former Code Enforcer took back his belt, avoiding the dreaded Masterlock.

Thunder earned his GWF title shot against Mensar by winning the Dreadnaught Memorial Hardcore Tournament. Thunder was on a mission, coming out of the gates loaded for bare and wrestling the championship away from Cordanus' man.

Thunder was a two-time GWFC champion on Centra, but this is his first Galaxian title reign.

Wrestle War concluded with back-to-back War Games matches.

The first grudge came about due to the death of Dreadnaught. Maelstrom, Sekada, Belroc, Dark Justice and Pegasus took on TC Watson - Dreadnaught's killer, Manta, Bubba Butcha, Sid Williams and Scott Walters.

Dark Justice and Scott Walters began the match. Order of entry was then Williams, Sekada, Manta, Maelstrom, Butcha, Belroc, Watson and Pegasus.
