At Galacticmania III, King Lear defeated Wolf in a Torture Chamber Title-4-Title Retirement Match. Lear retained the I-P title and became GWF champion and Steel Cage champion. He retired after the match, and three belts were vacated. A 64-man Steel Cage Tournament was held to fill the championships, with the top-16 wrestlers being awarded seeds and the rest of the field being randomly placed into the brackets. Spike defeated Splatter in the Final to become Unified GWF Steel Cage Champion. Despite the loss, Splatter was awarded the I-P title.
