1. Thantos won a 32-man tournament to become the first Steel Cage champion.
2. King Lear retired after winning the Steel Cage title, along with the I-P and heavyweight belts.
3. Spike won a 64-man tournament to become GWF champion and Steel Cage champion.
4. Splatter won the first fall in the finals of the KOTR to win the Steel Cage title.
5. Chaos won the cage title back by pinning Splatter to win the KOTR tournament.
6. Rising Sun won the Cage title in the second round of the Cosmic Cage Carnage Tournament.
7. Max Shield took the Cage title in the quarter finals of the Cosmic Cage Carnage Tournament.
8. Buck Steele gained the Cage title in the semifinals of the Cosmic Cage Carnage Tournament, and went on to win it all.
9. Buck Steele vacated the Steel Cage title and it was re-sanctioned as the Death Match title.
