Galacticade was the first major pay per view event in the GWF. Promoters took an idea from the National Wrestling Alliance's Starcade 1989 event, the Iron Man, and expanded it for the GWF. The top six singles wrestlers and tag-teams competed in a round round tournament.

20 points for win by pinfall or submission
15 points for win by countout
10 points for win by disqualification
5 points for a draw (double d.q., c.o., etc.)
0 points for a loss
