The GWFC's first ever wrestling card took place at the Centra Palladium. A 16-man tournament was held to determine the inaugural GWFC heavyweight champion.

Prior to the start of the show, fans were treated to a video history of the past GWF. Matches were shown on the big screens to give the people a primer on what was about to come. Thantos v. Star Warrior, Wolf v. Spike, and other great matches from the past were shown.

Morpheus made a short speech to the fans about how glad they are to be able to wrestle once again. He also tried to convey the importance of tonight's event and what the GWFC title means to the wrestlers.

Round 1

Splatter d. Pegasus
Mandrill d. Dark Justice
Wolf d. Wraith
Terminus d. Archon
Vengeance d. Blazing Skull
Paragon d. Manslaughter
Genocide d. Rising Sun
Thunder d. Bloodline

Quarterfinals

Mandrill d. Splatter
Wolf d. Terminus
Vengeance d. Paragon
Thunder d. Genocide

Semifinals

Mandrill d. Wolf
Thunder d. Vengeance

Finals

Thunder d. Mandrill

Mandrill controlled most of this match but couldn't put Thunder away. The Gladiator rallied and had Mandrill in trouble when he got shot with Sentry's stun gun. That prompted Brute to get involved after Thunder still kicked out. The ref got caught up in all the mayhem and kept Sentry from coming in, which left Brute free to crush the Colonizer with the Decapitator, allowing Thunder to get the 3 count.

Other stories coming from the completion of this tournament is the Gladiators and how stable are they? Vengeance was the last GWF champ and he was beaten in the middle of the ring by Thunder. Gladiators have never had a problem with fighting each other, but how will this affect the current power struggle going on within?

Bloodline showed no offense at all in his opening round loss to Thunder. The CPC's main man now has a long way to go up the rankings now. Same goes for Pegasus.

Next will be the GWFC tag-team title tournament, again held in one night. After that the GWFC will start holding regular cards on Centra, Primus and Antilia, with other titles being sanctioned like the Centra, Death Match and Six-Man belts at a later date.
